I love all things that I can put in my kids hair. My second daughter has hair that is all over the place, so the more headbands and clips we can find that she likes and wants to keep on her head the better!

My youngest wore a few of Ximena’s headbands during our photo shoot with Glow Foto and when Ximena tracked us down – I was in the middle of a full out hair fight with my middle.

When we got to sample the 5 star fabric flower with a wooden button on a skinny elastic band, my middle loved it right away. I admit, I loved it too. I may have borrowed it a time or two for myself.

This headband doesn’t just look pretty, the elastic headband stays put and can take the love of a toddler and still hold up great!  You can see the extra attention to detail as well.

The Inspiration

Almost one year ago on August 13, 2011, after 9 years of our lives together, I married my best friend. I took it upon myself to create all of my flower arrangements including the boutineers. I had a fabulous time working on all the floral bouquets, that I found myself really missing the creations that I had been working on. Ever since then, I knew that I wanted to work with flowers, but not just any flowers, I wanted to start my own business making my own floral designs. My friends and family were continuously encouraging me to pursue my dreams. I then began creating flowers from fabrics I had laying around, and I once again found what I had been missing. The need to craft and create something beautiful. I would use my 3 beautiful daughters as my models and inspiration. I then knew, that I wanted to see my flower creations on many  more beautiful babies, toddlers, teenagers and women. My business name was also inspired by my girls; adi- the first letters of each of  their names in the order they where born!

What makes your product unique/different?

My product rocks because they are all handmade flowers. Everyone of my designs offers its own unique personal touch! I can or you can choose your own color and style that you would like to see in that perfect photo or just to match that beautiful summer dress !

What keeps you motivated?

ne of the things that motivate me are my clients, and all the positive feedback that I have been receiving, and the fact that keep coming back for more ! But, what motivates me the most are my 3 daughters. My oldest especially because of how much interest she shows in whole process of my creations. Starting from choosing fabrics and colors that she thinks are pretty. Then watches me as I make them and always tells me how beautiful they look, and when it comes time to package up my orders, she always wants to help !

If you could have one super-hero power, what would it be?
My super hero power would be to fly, just like wonder women ! If I had the ability to fly, I would be able to travel back and fourth from Canada to Valparaiso, Chile. I would be able to visit my friends and family that I miss dearly. The best part, I would be able to take my husband and girls with me!

What is the most rewarding thing about running your own business?

The time and the freedom that I have to be able to spend with my family. Being able to stay home with my girls is a treasure for me. Especially when I am able to start a business that I love, right from my own home.

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned as a working mom {so far}?

When I first started making my own flowers I didn’t think that I could make this work. I found myself questioning my designs and wether or not I can actually manage my own business and continue spending that quality time with my kids. But I was wrong! The most valuable lesson that I have learned so far is how to have faith in myself.I have realized just how strong of a women I am. That no matter how I choose to live my life, I will always be the same women. The fact that people do love my product and it’s more then I could ask for!

Both my sons love listening to music and dancing so when I was asked if I wanted to try out a new children’s CD with my boys I jumped at the chance. There were a few options to choose from and I picked the Mickey Mouse and Friends CD since my two year old likes the show and my 11 month old loves the theme song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse recognizing Mickey’s voice. Best part is the CD was personalized with one of my son’s names incorporated through the songs and the dialogue between each song.

I picked my 11 month old as the lucky one to get the new CD with his name in it. And the first time I put the CD on for him, he spun around and crawled right over to me with big smiles to see what I had, oh he sure recognized Mickey’s voice calling out his name and big smiles listening to the songs.
My two year old also really likes the music. He really likes recognizing his baby brother’s name being sung my Mickey and friends. And the CD has lots of common children’s songs that he can recognize.

Fun songs for little ones to dance to, catchy tunes to sing together with your kids and I’d definitely recommend Just me Music as a great gift for a friend or your own kids. My boys have enjoyed it each time I put the CD on for them while Mom gets to enjoy a coffee and watching my boys giggling and dancing to their own personalized music.

The Inspiration

My daughters got them as gifts from a relative in Australia and LOVED LOVED them!! I thought what a fantastic product for children and wanted to get involved. I am Mom who is young at heart and loves Disney and was thrilled to be part of spreading the magic of Disney and other children’s characters.

What makes your product unique/different?

Favorite well known characters sing songs directly to the child. Every CD is made personally for each child.

What keeps you motivated?

The smiles children have on their faces when they hear their favorite characters say and sing their name in the songs!! Anything that puts a smile on a child’s face brightens my day too.

If you could have one super-hero power, what would it be?
Super human strength and kindness like Wonder Woman… the ability to help people out when they need it the most!

What is the most rewarding thing about running your own business?

Knowing that I am providing a fantastic product and can provide excellent customer service each time. Also being able to stay home with my daughters and run my business on the side!!

Where do you see your business in 5 years?
Hopefully at many trade fairs but still home based and encouraging families everywhere to sing throughout their day with smiles!

I first met Leanne and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo when my oldest hit princess stage hard! I remember walking into Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo with her and being greeted by Leanne and getting the best help while we picked the ‘perfect’ Belle dress from Beauty and the Beast. Leanne let her try it on and gaze at herself in the mirror and owwed and awwwed as my daughter fell in love with that dress.

I have since gone back numerous times to either pick out funky skull and cross bone shoes for an important little man or to have a coffee in the back play room with friends. Leanne is always friendly and full of help.  I love that her store is filled with product that she has researched and believes in.

My daughter Elizabeth, she was such a little princess and I always loved dresses, and there was a lack of a girl store that carried nice girls clothing at that time

What makes your product unique/different?

Bibbidi is not just a store, we offer Creative Sessions Kindermusik, a Pre Preschool Program, coffee time and play time for free in our playroom, camps during breaks for the little and big kids and of course Birthday Parties. We also have flower girl and boys formal wear, party and communion dresses, every day dresses and hard to find dresses, plus of course shoes, clothing, toys and lots of baby products (we have a bit of everything)

What keeps you motivated?

I love kids and the moms that shop at my store are truly the best customers in the world and I treat them as my closest friends, I love when they just come by weekly just to chat. And I get those wonderful little baby moments when someone lets me oohhh and ahhh over their little one (mine are getting so big) I also love doing the big girl parties, nothing to make you feel young again then dancing with 6 to 10 year olds

If you could have one super-hero power, what would it be?

More Time lots and lots of time whenever I want it ( which would be every moment as I fail to find it most days)

What is the most rewarding thing about running your own business?

The kids, and my customers. As well the fact I get to donate my profits to the Children’s Wish Foundation and the Children’s Hospital

Where do you see your business in 5 years?
Well I have this thing about renovating I tend to get bored with the way things look easily so I am pretty sure I will be changing the store yet again, but as for moving location I am here to stay in Sutherland I love the area.

What tip would you give other moms starting or running their own business?

You have to be able to work your own business, if you go into thinking of hiring someone to replace you or work those hours for you, you will realize quickly that you are the power behind the business. The best tip though is give it three years before you can make any money at it as you have to grow your investment first then you get paid eventually
