CHILDish [closed]
When I first visited CHILDish to look at their products, my first thought is “Those water bottles are perfect!” They are stainless steal, come with the sport or sippy ends my kids love and best of all – for once my kids will have personalized cups.
Since my children have names that are a bit unique, they never have their names on anything. My oldest is off to school in the fall and needs to go with a cup with her name on it. I wasn’t sure how I would solve the problem till I found CHILDish.
We were given two bottle and two plates to test and review. I was so excited about the bottles, that I was surprised how excited my kids were over the plates! They loved to see their own faces and names on something just for them!
For the first few weeks, I could not wash them and dish up the next snack fast enough. My kids only want to eat off their own plates. It’s made meal time easier as I put their plates at the table and no fighting over who sits where – they only want to sit at their plate. My littlest one can’t read, but she recognizes her little face on the plate and tells me all the time – ‘that’s me!’
The plates are plastic, so remember no microwave. They are good to go in the dishwasher (if you can get them in there!) and so far have held up really well. My kids have eaten every meal off of them and they still look great.
The mugs have been thrown in the dishwasher, diaper bag, back of the truck for every road trip and there isn’t a scratch or dint on them yet. We have really put these items through the rough test and they pass.
Sarah has also been great answering emails with all my questions, letting me know ” I treat customers the same way I’d like to be treated”
What I like best, I know that when we take our sport bottles to the park, rink, pool, and eventually to school – everyone knows that they are ours. We no longer get mixed up wondering if we brought the blue cup or was that someone else’s? I love they are stainless steal with a standard size opening making changing the sport end with other standard size lids.
My kids are crazy in love with their plates. I might just have to get 2 extra’s so one set can go through the dishwasher while they eat of the other set! Enter to win a set of your own and watch your little one love them too!

The Inspiration
I needed a good fundraising project for my daughter’s playschool, so I created a series of personalized dishes. They were such a hit that other schools started to ask to use them for fundraising too. The rest, as they say, is history!
What makes your product unique/different?
Every product is personalized to look like your child which makes them one of a kind. You have the option to choose hair style, hair colour, eye colour, skin tone, and more to create an image of each child. Include the child’s name, background colour and pattern and you’ll have a one-of-a-kind product made especially for each child!
What keeps you motivated?
I love to challenge myself. If I came across something that can’t be done, it makes me work harder to find a way to do it!
If you could have one super-hero power, what would it be?
I’ve always wanted to fly. So much easier and faster to get around!
What is the most rewarding thing about running your own business?
Starting a business from scratch knowing that my hard work made it what it is today.
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
I started this business on the side while staying at home with my young children. My goal is for CHILDish to be the leading personalized product brand in Canada by the time my children are in school full time.
What tip would you give other moms starting or running their own business?
Do what you are good at and what you know. Being a parent and graphic designer this is the perfect business for me.
