Kids Holiday Hair Tips from the Experts at Beaners

Do you have a number of parties your child will be attending this Holiday season? Do you want to ensure their hairstyles are “just right” for Christmas photos or snapshots with Santa? The style experts at Beaners Fun Cuts for Kids offer the following tips and advice to make sure your child’s hair is looking fabulous this holiday season:

Braid-tastic – Part the hair to one side, then French Braid across the hairline, securing it with a clear elastic at the end. This look is so chic that you don’t even have to add anything else to it!

Curls and Kinks – After a night of beautifully braided hair, sleep on it! The next morning take the braids out and your princess will have fun kinky/ wavy/crimped hair! Add a stylish headband or red or green bow and she’s ready for her next party! Curls are another great way to add some bounce to any holiday outfit. The new ionic tourmalinecurling iron (available at Beaners) uses the same technology as the inside of a flat iron and works like magic to create shiny, tight bouncy curls that are locked in all day. Sleep on them and in the morning they are simply softer and more relaxed.

Ribbons, glitter and holiday bling – How about adding some sparkle to your little one’s outfit? The right amount of glitter or coloured hairspray adds a nice touch to any hairstyle. Throw in a festive holiday headband or barrette to add some pizzazz or thread some red or green ribbon through a French braid.

Beautiful Bun – For a quick and easy messy bun, gather your hair on top of your head and wrap an elastic band around two to three times. Next, shape the bun with a few bobby pins that match the hair color, pull out a few ends to make it messier, and finish with a spritz of hairspray.

Poof Perfection: – Who doesn’t love a little volume? Separate the section of hair from temple to temple, tease it with a fine-toothed comb, pull back and secure with two bobby pins in an X. If the hair won’t stay in the bobby pins, tease the section more or use four pins. Style the back with a smooth, straight look, or scrunch the hair. For the more natural look, spray some Beaners hairspray for a smooth finish and add sparkles for fun.

Are You Teasing me? – Tease hair at the crown then pull into a low ponytail. Leave a ½ inch strand out and secure the ponytail with a clear elastic. Wrap the extra strand around the elastic and secure with a bobby pin. For a little shine and shimmer, opt for some sparkle gel.
