I have used other online meal kits now for a while. I love that they deliver healthy meals right to my door and my kids can even help with supper time. When I chatted with Catherine about the option of locally supported meal kit coming to Saskatoon, I was very exited!

Regina, Saskatchewan: ZestyKits aims to help Saskatoon residents get back in their own kitchens by empowering them to easily cook delicious, local and healthy meals. The Saskatchewan based company makes home cooking easy by planning weekly meals and providing pre-portioned ingredients, hand-made sauces and spice blends as well as marinated proteins.

ZestyKits currently serves clients in Regina and will be expanding to Saskatoon this year. “Dinner time can be stressful, time consuming and overwhelmingly difficult, we want to change that” shares co-founder Catherine Beaudoin. ZestyKits’ purpose is to offer more than food, by making home cooking easy and fun, they provide an opportunity for families to spend quality time in the kitchen and make memories.

Sisters Annie and Catherine Beaudoin are passionate about healthy and local food. They founded ZestyKits to share that passion and make cooking healthy and delicious meals easy and fun. “We believe that cooking should be an experience rather than a chore. We want people to slow down and enjoy the cooking process. Saskatchewan is filled with skilled farmers and producers who create outstanding ingredients. We want to highlight this talent by featuring numerous Saskatchewan farmers and producers in each meal kit,” shares Annie. Each ZestyKits recipe features illustrated step-by-step instructions, tips from a local dietician to include kids in meal preparation and health facts from a local naturopath. As a bonus, the kits also include recommended wine pairings.

The company has announced a pre-order wait list for Saskatoon residents on their website at www.zestykits.com/go/saskatoon.
