ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tapes [closed]
If you are thinking of painting a room in your house this fall, I suggest you take a closer look at 3M Canada ScotchBlue Painter’s Tapes! One of our Moms recently painted her little guys room in his favorite sport team colors using the tape to make the cleanest lines I have ever seen without any special prep or hassle.
This little guy has one of the coolest sports rooms I have seen in a long time and it was as simple as painting the base color, taping the lines around the room and then painting between the lines.
He’s so happy with his new room and so are his parents. I have to say, while it may not be my favorite team’s colors, I think this room is pretty cool too!!
I want to give away some rolls of of ScotchBlue Painter’s Tape to a SaskatoonMoms.com member. Simply leave a comment letting me know what your painting project is!
I am thinking some bold lines in the basement using varnish to make our current paint color look amazing!
3M Canada Introduces Innovative New Treatment
for ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tapes
New Edge-Lock™ Paint Line Protector ensures sharp paint lines,
no surface damage, and clean removal
Painting projects continue to be the number-one home improvement project among both seasoned and beginner do-it-yourselfers. To meet their needs, 3M has added Edge-Lock™ Paint Line Protector to its ScotchBlue™ family of painter’s tapes, with a proprietary, patent-pending treatment that works with the properties of paint to avoid seepage — making clean, crisp lines a snap.
Edge-Lock treatment enhances the premium benefits of ScotchBlue Painter’s Tapes for pros, while providing additional insurance for less experienced painters. In fact, Edge-Lock Protector makes it easier for all DIYers to achieve professional-quality results. Removal is clean and there’s no surface damage.
Why the need for Edge-Lock™? “3M is committed to providing innovative solutions to consumers,” says Sherry Browne, 3M Business Unit Manager. “So we challenged our scientists to address the needs of DIY painters. They responded with the technology behind Edge-Lock treatment, which now makes super sharp paint lines and clean removal easier than ever.”
Benefits:
Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector is unlike other paint-blocking technologies. Along with the 3M proprietary treatment, the new and enhanced adhesive formulation works to create a barrier that delivers clean lines. In addition, it: leaves no chemical residuedoes not have to be reapplied between coats
- does not irritate skin
- leaves behind no ridges
- does not require a special storage container
The new ScotchBlue Painter’s Tapes with Edge-Lock Paint Line Protector will be available at home centres in September 2011 with suggested retail prices of between $4.99 and $14.97. For more information on ScotchBlue Painter’s Tapes, please visit www.ScotchBlue.ca.

What isn’t a project?! My daughters want to switch rooms, with one getting a previously painted pink room, and the other wanting one that is bright purple. Time for some creative painting.
This would come in really handy for painting my kids’ room. My daughter and baby boy will be sharing a room (once baby moves out of our room) and I want to paint something fun for them that will suit both boy and girl tastes.
facebook fan too
my daughter desperately wants her room decorated, and this might just give me the motivation to do it.

Hi, we are painting every room in our house, so we can sell it!
We make all our own homemade Birthday and Christmas cards… we use a TON of painters tape, and Christmas Card making season is coming up… (See the website attachment)
We’re redoing our bedroom, someone painted it(before we bought the house) Pepto-Bismol pink, including the ceiling and door, it has got to go!
We are having Boy/Girl twins in about 16 weeks. I have used ScotchBlue before on my girlies rooms. I know how easy it will make painting a boy/girl room!
I love the base colours in my room & in my boys room but I am wanting to add some sort of colour lines to them for a face lift since they have been these colours for several years. I am just trying to pick the second colours now 🙂
