Splash’N Boots new album “back in yellow” is a good time on a cd!
I listened to the music and really enjoyed it but since it is for Children – I figured I better let the kids decide what they think.
At SaskatoonMoms.com, we had a small play party and played the music for our ‘reviewers’. A full out dance party was full in swing with big and little kids all dancing and hoping around. I love the grown up feel to the music, the humor and the kids loved to sing along to the easy to learn lyrics.

The Inspiration
We went to school at Queens university and were hired one summer as a part of a “work-experience program” to perform fairy-tales for kids in Parks.
That summer, nine of us travelled around, booking our own shows and performing across Ontario. We loved it so much we knew we would never be able to do anything else. We started researching the possibilities of having our own business and then when we graduated took it on as a full time job (despite the fact we only had three shows booked). It was scary at first but, like any business, just takes a while to get off its feet.
Though, the fact that we love what we do makes it never seem like work.
What makes your product unique/different?
We are all about music for music’s sake. We want to teach kids to be creative and open and move and sing and just be completely themselves. We hope that by enjoying our music, families will be inspired to make music a part of their daily lives and connect through the joy of sound – whether it’s the sounds we’ve composed or those they create themselves.
What keeps you motivated?
The kids and families in our audience are what really keeps us going.
Feeling their energy and excitement, and seeing things they do and stuff they say is so inspiring and it makes every show we do different. We love that kids are so honest and open and genuine in their emotions and responses to things. Keeps things fresh and exciting for us!
If you could have one super-hero power, what would it be?
We actually have a song about a super-hero and his super power is how he can make people smile. This song was inspired by a little boy whose brother was in the hospital, and his mom asked us to write a song for the older brother to make him feel better. The only information she gave us is that he is really good at making his brother smile and he LOVES super heroes. It’s a fun song to do live because the kids are so cute doing their BIGGEST smiles.
What is the most rewarding thing about running your own business?
It’s amazing being able to do something you love, be your own boss and make your own schedule!
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
We would love to have our own TV show and be touring the world with a big stage show and our own band and characters!
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned as a working mom {so far}?
Not a mom yet…but someday!
